Week 1
For the first week, Mr Azrizal told us about the course of this module and what
we need to do for this semester. I started looking for my teammate, and then I finally fit Britney's idea best, so we formed a team.

What I thought at that time was that I would make an app design, and then I had some preliminary ideas. I started looking for my teammate, and Britney and my idea fit best, so we formed a team. I group with another UIUX student- Britney Chow. We come out with three ideas for our app at beginning, which is decision-making app, Vehicle Security with EV Charging, Digital Smart Home.

Week 5
We thought about our app's name, and finally we decided to have a dynamic and passionate name -JomGo.
Meaning of JomGo
The term "Jom" is a colloquial Malaysian word meaning "let's go" or
"come on." It’s an invitation commonly used among friends and family
to encourage each other to go out and do something together. By
incorporating "Jom" into our brand name, we instantly create a sense
of familiarity and local connection, making the app more relatable
and appealing to Malaysian users.

This design choice reflects the app’s mission to bring joy and
excitement to users' lives by encouraging them to go out and
discover new experiences.
The logo's simplicity ensures it can be versatile and adaptable across different mediums, from app icons to promotional materials. Its clean design ensures it remains visually appealing and functional in various sizes.

Week 6
Mascot sketches

Fig. Mascot sketches Version 1
We plan to design two mascots for our app. They can travel together
and bring positive energy and happy mood to users. Then our mascots
will not be so lonely and they are good friends with each other. We,
like our two mascot, echo each other, and both can bring users a happy
feeling.

Fig. Widget for generator
We designed a widget for our app. Users don't need to log in to the
app to use the generate answer, which can be simply operated on the
page of the mobile phone, but the details of the store can't be seen
in the widget, and the detailed information must be used in our app.

FEEDBACK
Week 2
Feedback from Mr. Asrizal:
A common problem, but you can try and see how to commercialize the idea, making a machine or a tablet. Go beyond just food, places. Think of how to scale the project, but be careful of nice to have features.
Week 3
Feedback from Ms. Anis
For the review part of our app, we're unable to have the data for the reviews part, and sometimes they are not as honest. Perhaps what we can try to have is for user to upload a picture, and have "picture that speaks a thousand words"; For the bingo part of our app, we need to actually make sure that users actually interacted with the place before they can tag the certain bingo to get the prizes. You can categorize prizes in a pyramid way. We should also determine the style of our app and the feelings our app produce, excited? Challenging? Perhaps can conduct an interview to see what the people think of your app.
Week 4
Feedback from Ms. Anis
After taking a look at the summary of the interview, Ms. Anis told us that we have identify the problems met quite well. And we should try working towards it. You guys should also think of marketing your app. The machine might seem to be a little useless at this point, since it have a lot of limitations and flaws.
Week 5
Feedback from Ms Anis
We can try our various form of interaction, and can attempt combinations of gashapon and mascot.allow user to personalise out preferences base on their religion and culture. Furthermore, we need to find the art direction that is align with our theme and some adjectives, to help develop the mascot and all that could emphasize the style of your app, narrow down all the idea and be more clear and specific about them. Furthermore, try to decide the name of your app
Week 6
Feedback from Ms Anis
When deciding the name, is best to choose a name that people find easy to relate to. Ms. Anis mentioned that in all of our options here, the name "ezy" might lead people into thinking like an electronic Godzilla or something. Since your app promotes people on going to an "adventure" perhaps can try names like, "Gogogo!". Also, after deciding on the name of your brand and app, ask around your friends on how they think about it. And also, your logo can be an arrangement of the words "Gogogo!", You can always look back to the adjectives you have chosen, and decide on the name accordingly, whether it gives out the vibe of the adjectives. In terms of color palette choices, do go ahead and use online tools or existing palettes, however, you need to try and make certain color arrangements for it to fit the UI of your app, do take a look at other existing apps like Grab, Trivago and more as reference. In terms of creating a mascot, it must be first easily to recognize, the silhouette of the mascot must be iconic for example, characters of "Among us". You can use multiple forms of something, vegetable, animal and more as long as it gives out the feel of your adjectives. The emotions of the mascot does not change the original feel of the mascot.
Week 8
Feedback from Ms. Anis
First draft of logo is done, however, some part of your logo does not seems to have the equal sizing. For example the M part, as it looks very sudden there's feet there. While the whole thing seems okay but it's just the first version, you need to continue to refine it. The same goes for the color palette, try it on different pages that you have right now, and see which works the best, then you can straight go ahead with it.
Week 9
Feedback from Ms. Anis
After looking at the second draft of logo is out, from what you guys have did, the logo seems quite refine and have more of your ideas shown. You have the pin and the magnifying glass to indicate all the possible features of your brand and or app. You can try going with the up and down arrangement and try out your colors on the logo. The hero stance of your mascot is out, I can see now your mascots look quite energetic and playful already with this hero stance as before when there's just a normal stance, it seems just like another character drawing, personality is not emphasize in there, but with this hero stance, it is different.
Week 10
Feedback from Ms. Anis
Ms. Anis said that the logo seemed nice, however, you need to watch out the letter "J" in your logo as to some it might not seem very obvious. The typeface chosen is also quite playful as well. Some feedback from Mr. Shamsul, the logo shouldn't have too much elements, focus on one and you can keep emphasizing on that one element to promote your app and also use that one element throughout your brand or app.
Week 11
Feedback from all lecturers (during presentation)
From Mr. Zeon:
Think about the rewards system to make users feel motivated and also think about how should you promote your idea and app? Through what means? For the homepage, you can try implementing different mascots and mascot animations depending on mood every day or week.
From Mr. Kamal
The name "Jomgo" is pretty catchy, but have to do research whether the named is used or not. If not, is better to have it registered so it's under you guys. Can register under Taylor's
From Mr. Kannan:
You can try to do more than just an app, something like a campaign to promote your brand or app, as this Jomgo should not be just an app, it can be your own brand and there's an app for it. Try thinking about making a campaign timeline on how to further promote your app.
From Ms. Anis:
Ms. Anis gave us a compliment on how nice and interesting our presentation is. In our presentation we have some interactions with the audience and also tried to match the vibes of how we want our app to be, most of the lecturers seem to like our project and it's a job well done. However, you guys should try on how to make it better. You don't have to actually make a campaign out, but can try making mockups.
REFLECTION
Major project is the last subject in our college life. In my mind, it
is a subject that must be taken seriously, and it can also be regarded
as an explanation and summary for ourselves at this learning
stage. This project may also become a stepping stone for us in our future
career path, or it may be one of the indicators for future interviewers
to judge us. Therefore, this is a very important challenge, and I will
inevitably feel pressure and judging myself am I doing well enough.
I want to thank my teammate Britney for the whole project. We have complementary personalities and strengths. For example, Britney's strength is conceiving the initial concept and big framework, and extending and refining our general direction is what I am good at, so we can cooperate well and give full play to our respective strengths in our work. Furthermore, our dear Ms Anis gave us a lot of help and advice, guided us when we were lost and impatient, and let us finish our project better.
