We went to the MakerPlace in our school for the first time to get in touch with branding's product. When I first saw it, I was really surprised. There was a complete package and accessories inside, and there were really many different activities for children to play. However, there are still some deficiencies in the design, and some parts are small and difficult to operate.

We conducted random interviews with passers-by at Babyshop and Toysrus in Sunway Pyramid. I am very glad that everyone did not reject the interview, and they also shared their experiences and feelings very generously, and they were willing to leave a group photo with us.

REFLECTION

Week 1
The first week is a little hard for me to face, because I may be grouped and meet many unfamiliar people, so I feel uneasy and depressed. I feel that everyone is not particularly positive and out of condition. I don't think the meeting with Ms Zae on Friday played a big role for me either. Maybe the questions we asked were not clear enough, or the answers we got were not directional enough, so I felt helpless.

Week 2

In the second week, we began to get into the state. We mainly searched for secondary data on the Internet, found some information about competitors and so on, and creat personas. I think everything went well. Then on Friday, we also went to markerplace to test our product. I was surprised when I got the product at first, because it was from China, and there were few explanations in English, so it was more difficult for some teammates who couldn't understand Chinese. Fortunately, I could read and understand their meaning. We also assembled some accessories according to the instructions, which I think is quite interesting and a little challenging. Because the accessories are very small, it will be more difficult for my fingers to operate, but in general, I think there is still much room for us to improve, and we can also think more deeply about the product and give it more meaning.

Week 3
This week, we prepared the questions of the questionnaire and showed our personas to Mr Mike. Mr Mike gave us some details that we didn't notice and how to edit our persona more perfectly to make it more suitable for the buyers of our products. In addition, we also read the questions in our questionnaire carefully with Mr Mike, and then improved the way of asking some questions, and the ordering of some questions and other details.

Week 4
We sent out our questionnaire last Saturday, but our number did not meet our expectations. I think one of the reasons is that our questionnaire has restrictions on respondents, such as age and their roles “parents”, and then there are restrictions on the age of children, and they are all people outside our social circle, so it is relatively difficult to find these qualified respondents. Moreover, there are also a few people who have heard of STEAM educational kits or bought them, so I think these points have greatly increased the obstacles for us to get more answers.

Week 5

I think this week's progress is on schedule. We showed our top 5 ideas to Mr Mike, because we may not have considered innovation when writing, and it is still in a superficial ideological stage, so Mr Mike gave us the evaluation that ideas are not special and attractive enough. This is indeed the deep thinking that we lack at present. Because we are in a process from scratch, we need to think a lot of details in the initial stage of construction to ensure that the whole plan can be implemented. In the next part, we should explore and find problems and solve them according to our original thinking foundation.

Week 6

This week, Mr Mike helped us to see the improved top 5 ideas again, and helped us to classify our ideas into three main parts, namely, design, product and marketing. With three categories, we can carry out our plan and the next work more orderly. We also finished the prototype of our user journey map this week. To be honest, it is very difficult to write it well because it needs a lot of thinking and analysis, which functions and strategies belong to which part, and then we have to classify and improve it, but I believe this map will play a great role in our future implementation.

Week 7 This week, we are confirming some design contents that we need to do, such as personas, product presentation and so on. After careful discussion, we found that there are many parts that we can extend to strengthen the connectivity of our products and brands. I also began to draw some wireframe of our website, put all the contents we need to promote after discussion into them, and then typeset and layout.

Week 8
This week, we are going to prepare presentation slides for our customers. We will work together to put each part to be presented in slides, then typeset and so on. We also had two rehearsals, and the rehearsal process went smoothly, and everyone was very careful in preparing for their own responsibilities.

Week 9
We had our presentation this week, and we were not too nervous during the presentation, because we were all seriously preparing for our presentation, and everyone performed well. In view of the feedback from clients, we have also conducted a profound discussion and review, and tried to grasp the demands that client wants to express, and make a product design that is more in line with customer needs in our design.

Week 10
This week, we tried to improve the important parts of logo, mascots and other related products from customer feedback, so as to facilitate the follow-up work more smoothly. Then we also drafted several different versions of key visual, and the initial versions were not ideal. Mr Mike also gave us some suggestions for improvement in the process of making key visual, and then let us list several elements and points that each key visual must have, and then everyone can design according to these requirements, so as to ensure that everyone's design style is unified. Then, after our continuous attempts, we finally completed a series of satisfactory works.

Week 11
This week, we have a clearer design direction and thoughts, and we have begun to have a division of labour. Players from different specialization are responsible for their own related and familiar parts and maximise their value. This week, I started to practise website wireframe in Figma, and then added some animation effects to make the picture more vivid and interesting. I want to design some details that are more interactive and creative, so that we can add points to our brand and products, and also let users feel that we are delicate and professional. Therefore, I am constantly improving the design and typesetting of web pages, hoping to make them satisfactory to myself, businesses and customers in the end.

Week 12

This week, I practised in Figma for my ideas about website. A person needs to pay attention to a lot of places when completing a website, and the workload is relatively large. In the process of typesetting and production, it is constantly being modified and improved. Some interactions are added to website, such as some explanations and movements when mouse hovers over some pictures, which increases some interest and users' desire to explore.

Week 13

This week, for the rectification of some details of the website, the initial design was a little too big for the web page, and a consultation would cover the whole page of the tour, so I adjusted the screen size to make it more pleasing to the eye and more like the feeling of the website.

Week 14
This week, the final improvement and finishing work was done for website, and at the same time, one more page was added, that is, the consultation page about our Pop Up Event. This week, a lot of posters made by other teammates were put on the website. Mr Mike found that our art style with some details are still a little different. For example, some characters have shadows behind them, others don't, and then some people make the font look like neon lights, but most of our designs don't use this method, so our group discussed and revised it. Then, the color of the website is adjusted for Mr Mike's feedback, which makes it more vivid, has more contrast colors and makes the whole page more prominent.

Week 15
In the last week, we confirmed that all the work was completed, and then we began to prepare the content of presentation and presented the final product to client and Mr Mike. On the whole, everyone has their own duties and completed their own parts, so the progress is fast and relatively smooth.
