INSTRUCTION
Week 1 - Week 2 - Briefing & Introduction to UX Design
In these two classes, we have probably learned about the content of the
class and some project we will do this semester. These two weeks are
mainly about some lectures on UX, which will increase our understanding
of this part of UX and its application.
Task 1：Bad vs Good UX Design (Case study: scenario)
Our group found two interesting websites for comparison, namely Hello Monday & Locomotive. These two websites are web pages providing design services, which can help users to design brand web pages and other services. Both are websites, and both have their own characteristics and styles. For the sense of design, Locomotive's website has a strong sense of design, but at the same time, it lacks the emphasis of readability and guiding users to use it. On the contrary, Hello Monday's user guidance and typesetting are very clear and simple, and there are also many small designs and animations to improve the texture and quality of web pages.
We were instructed to identify and analyze good and bad UX design in
different scenarios and present our findings in a Google Slides
presentation.

I think this part of the film is Locomotive website, which is
very interesting and special. It brings designers into the
viewer's field of vision in a vivid way. Compared with the
ordinary words with only names, this website adds the images of
designers and some interesting and funny animations, which makes
the whole introduction not boring, and makes users want to click
on the names of each designer to watch different
animations.

Exercise 1: Introduction to UX
We are instructed to write an introduction to user experience (UX) and its
importance in the design and development of digital products and
services.
Requirements:
1. Define what is user experience (UX) and explain its role in the design
and development of digital products and services.
2. Discuss the importance of UX in creating products and services,
3. Explore the key elements of UX.
4. Provide examples of successful digital products and services that
prioritize UX and explain how they have achieved success.
5. Identify common UX challenges and discuss strategies for addressing
them.

The initial version of the report had more contents, but some contents were
deleted because of the word limit. For example, I originally planned to put
seven key elements of UX, but in the end I filtered them into five that I
thought were more important. Due to the limitation of words, I also learned
how to edit my content with more emphasis, and then prioritize it, leaving
more important content, while examples and explanations will be deleted or
shortened, and then put into slides.

Week 4 - Starting point of final
Final Project Briefing
We were required to design the direction way to Vortex XR Lab for our final
project. We have to do the research as a group but come out with the final
outcome ourselves.

Interview
Ms Dini asked us to randomly find two people in the school for a simple interview this week. The interview we are going to have this time is about wayfinding to Vortex Lab. At first, our group discussed and worked out some problems in the classroom. After that, our whole group went to the first floor of the school to find the interviewer. Our first interviewer is a business student, and the second interviewer is a staff member who works here. When looking for someone to participate in our interview, the students and staff gave us great cooperation, and they did not shirk or refuse too much. Instead, they generously let us interview. I think this is something I didn't expect, and I feel very happy and grateful for their cooperation.

Week 6 - Meet the User
Ms Dini helped us to invite Mr Faiz Al (head of Vortex Lab), our
client of this project. Then we had an interview with Mr Faizal. The
interview went smoothly and we got the answers we wanted. After this
15-minute interview, we got to know the design that Mr Faizal needed,
as well as the operation of Vortex Lab and the number of visitors on
weekdays, which would be more convenient for us to design
wayfinding.
Week 7 - Week 10 Wayfinding Idea
I began to conceive the design of my wayfinding. When I first looked for
the design of wayfinding on the Internet, I saw many guides similar to
street signs, but I thought it was a little too popular. I wanted to take a
creative route and try to get rid of the design like street signs and road
maps.

Week 10 began to put all the designs and so on into slides, then
sorted out the whole slides, and wrote some simple drafts, and began
to draft some questionnaire questions.
Week 11 - Doing slides & record video presentation
This week, Ms Dini made a final check on our questionnaire, and then
let us publish it. Ms Dini asked us to have at least 12 to 20
responses. When the collection was completed, I sorted out and
analyzed the responses I collected, put them in slides, and recorded a
complete explanation video.

Week 12 - Presentation in Vortex Lab
This week, Ms Dini helped us to apply for the opportunity to go to
Vortex Lab, and then we can go to Vortex Lab to make a
presentation.

Because of the limited time, Ms Dini chose several people to present,
and I was very lucky to be one of them. Then the video we recorded in
advance will be played on the screen. After the video is played, the
instructors will comment on our ideas and give some suggestions to
help us improve. I feel that this presentation has benefited me a lot.

Week 13 - Week 14 - Editing Blog
I finished arranging my blog when I was in week13, because I also
updated my blog from time to time in the early stage, so the pressure
was not great in the final stage, and my work was relatively easy.
When finishing the blog, try to make the page have more stories and
write more thoughts and personal reviews.
REFLECTION
Week 1
This week we met our lecturer Ms Siti, who was kind and friendly. She
explains the module and what we gonna do this semester. In the beginning
I was nervous since I took 5 modules this semester and all of them were
core modules and supposed to spend a lot of time on them. After first
class with Ms Siti I felt better since Ms Siti mentioned she is trying
to make this module simple and easy for us.
Week 2
This week's class is mainly to listen to Ms Siti's lecture and
introduce bad vs good UX design. The content of the class is simple, and
some of the content is also learned before, so it is not difficult to
understand. The overall classroom atmosphere is relaxed. It makes me
feel really the same as Ms Siti told us in the first week. She has
helped me to change this module course more easily and simply. Ms Siti
also mentioned that she is trying her best to let us finish our homework
and homework in class time, so we will have more time to finish our
other modules' work after class.
Week 3
This week we have an online class. I have to say that the
occasional online class really felt great, and it feels more relaxed
without going to school. We didn't spend much time in this week's
class. Ms Siti simply explained our exercise, and then let us finish
it. I think this week's class is relaxed and cheerful, because the
coming weekend was the Hari Raya holiday!
Week 4
This week Ms Siti explained about the timeline and work we have to
do for the final project. We started our final project in groups. Ms Siti in order to train us to
prepare for the next phase of interviewing client, let's randomly find two
students or staff on campus for a simple interview. This is the first time
for me to talk to a stranger like this. I'm a little nervous, but
fortunately, we do it in a group way, and it doesn't feel so terrible and
stressful to have the cooperation and company of the teammates.

Week 6
This week, we use the questions we discussed with the team members
last week and then asked our client Mr Faizal. We were the first
group to ask questions, and then we were really nervous at first.
Later, everyone asked a few questions. With the cooperation of our
teammates, we completed this interview. Although there were many
shortcomings and some stage fright, we were glad to have the
opportunity to take a small step and bravely ask our own questions
in the interview.
Week 7
This week, I began to conceive my wayfinding design. At first, it was
really the most difficult to think of idea. Because I wanted some innovative
and fresh ideas. Then I began to practice my idea in AI. At first, I tried several ideas. At
first, the picture I came out was not very satisfactory. Then, after several
revisions and changes, the picture I came out was closer and closer to the
effect I imagined in my mind.

Week 9
This week is a week to look forward to, because this Sunday is the wedding
day of Ms Dini! So some friends in my class and I decided to go to Kedah to
attend Ms Dini's wedding, and then spend a day in Penang. So there is not
much progress this week, but I have finished most of my homework before
going out, making sure that I will not have too much pressure on my homework
when I come back from going out.
Week 10
This week, we will submit our final idea and a recorded explanation video.
To be honest, I was still a little tired after going out for three days last
week, but my mood was very happy and my enthusiasm was improved, so it was
very cool to relax and go out properly! We had an online consultation
with Miss Dini this week. Ms Dini agreed with my idea and gave me some
suggestions for improvement. For example, the idea of VR headset should be
given a name, and some suggestions for improvement were also given for the
questionnaire.
Week 11
This week's workload was not big, and then everything went smoothly,
because the number of respondents required by Ms Dini was not very large, so
I was able to reach the required number as scheduled. Then the data analysis
is smoother than before, because after several times of questionnaire data
analysis in other course, this time it can be done more
easily. However, at the stage of video recording, I was a little sick
at that time, so my state was not very good, and then I couldn't record a
satisfactory version, so I was a little tired at the end of recording, and
my performance in the finished video may not be perfect, and there is still
room for improvement.
Week 12
This week, Ms Dini helped us to apply for the opportunity to go to Vortex
Lab, and then we can go to Vortex Lab to make a presentation, and then Mr
Faizal and Dr Charles will comment on us. I am the third to make a
presentation. To tell the truth, it was really embarrassing to listen to my
own video recording presentation at that time, and then in the later comment
stage, both Mr Faizal and Dr Charles gave me a lot of opinions, so that my
idea could be better used in reality.
